So yesterday… want to hear about my day? Tough, I’m talking about it anyway.

I wake up at my usual time (6:30am) to get ShortBus’ offspring ready for school. I do my normal morning routine and then I get to the teeth brushing part of the expedition: grab my toothbrush, add a lil toothpaste, turn on my toothbrush… turn on my toothbrush…. turn ON my toothbrush… Turn. On. My. Toothbrush…. turnonmytoothbrush… look at toothbrush & flip the switch repeatedly like a crazy OCD person… it’s not turning on.

So I decide to go on a battery hunt. Junk drawer: No. Kitchen drawer: No. Bathroom drawers: No. Remote control: (thinks) Nah, I have shows I gotta catch p on the dvr later. Car: No. ANYPLACE batteries can hide: No.

So what’s the obvious thing to do? Yup, go to the supermarket. I got rice, eggs, culantro, a piece of chocolate for the road & Sazon. Get home, unload my groceries, go upstairs to brush my teeth, grab my toothbrush, add a lil toothpaste, turn on my toothbrush…

I proceed to then open the part where the batteries are stored on my toothbrush, move them around, put them back, close the compartment, give the toothbrush one last shake, and turn on my toothbrush…. it really isn’t turning on.

So after lots of pondering (and realizing it is now 11:30 and I still haven’t had breakfast) and searching… ok…. ransacking my house for two AA batteries I decide to do what no human should EVER be forced to do:  I brushed my teeth with a regular toothbrush. No human should ever have to succumb to this. This is so inhumane. The horror.

Fast forward to the next morning:

This is an actual (and typical) conversation that ShortBus and La Guardia had via gchat. As you can tell, this was a very productive meeting. They get things DONE.
